Founded in 1991. Built on doing it properly.
DLP Services is a building maintenance contractor based in Salford. We started small in 1991 and grew by being the contractor people came back to. 35 years on, we're trusted across the North West by NHS trusts, housing associations, local authorities, heritage organisations, and a long roster of commercial clients.
One team, one standard, since 1991.
DLP Services was founded in 1991 with a simple proposition: a directly employed multi-trade workforce, accountable for every job, every time. No subcontracting chains. No fingerpointing. One team, one standard.
35 years later, the proposition is the same — but the workforce has grown to cover every trade you'd need on a building maintenance contract: gas, electrical, plumbing, roofing, joinery, brickwork, plastering, decorating. All directly employed by DLP.
Our clients have stayed because of it. Most of our largest accounts have been with us for over a decade. The reputation that gets us through the door — with NHS estates teams, housing associations, heritage organisations — has been earned the slow way.

Why "directly employed" matters.
It's the most important thing about us. Most building maintenance contractors subcontract at least some trades. That works fine until something goes wrong — and then everyone starts pointing at someone else.
Our team is on our payroll. They wear our uniform, drive our vans, work to our standards, and are accountable to our project managers. When something needs fixing, there's no debate about whose problem it is. It's ours.
The team behind the standard.

Headquartered in Salford, delivering across the North.
Headquartered in Salford, we deliver across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, and Cumbria. Our directly employed teams travel — so wherever you are in the region, you get the same standard.

The things we don't compromise on.
- A reliable contractor is worth paying properly for.
- Buildings deserve the right trades, not the cheapest.
- Heritage matters and modern matters, and you can be brilliant at both.
- Documentation is part of the job, not a chore.
- The relationship is what we sell — not the transaction.
